Top Ten Tuesday
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. The Top Ten topic this week is: Top Ten Books On Your Fall TBR List
My Fall TBR list is rather extensive and it was a little painful to choose my Top Ten books. But I put on my big girl pants and started cutting titles. Here are the last books standing aka my Top Ten. 🙂
Click on the book covers for Goodread links.
1. The Stormdancer – Jay Kristoff
The author has described this book as “telepathic samurai girls & griffins in steampunk feudal Japan”. I’m sold!
2. Cast in Peril – Michelle Sagara
I’m always super excited for the latest entry in Michelle Sagara’s Chronicles of Elantra. This year is no different and I duly pre-ordered this title months ago.
3. Full Blooded – Amanda Carlson
Good werewolf stories have been scarce lately so I’m pretty keen for Full Blooded. I really hope it’s good. Initial reviews seem to be positive.
4. The Shadow Society – Marie Rutkoski
A girl from an alternate world. My Fringe loving heart is convinced.
5. Days of Blood and Starlight – Laini Taylor
The sequel to Daughter of Smoke and Bone is released in November. Like most of the YA reading planet, I really enjoyed Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Many of the ideas in the story were just so clever, the writing was brilliant and I simply could not predict what would happen next. Eager for more of the same.
6. The Shattered Dark – Sandy Williams
Loved The Shadow Reader and the kick ass heroine so I’m pretty excited for the sequel.
7. Falling to Ash – Karen Mahoney
The cover is beautiful and I’m intrigued by the story of a newly made vampire caught between her strict Irish-Catholic Dad and her over-protective maker, Theo.
Fury’s Kiss is the third title in the Dorina Basarab series. The main character Dory is my favourite of Karen Chance’s heroines. I love the world and the fun characters that inhabit it.
Dystopian and Time Travel plus an awkward girl hiding her gifts. I’m in 🙂
10. Tempting the Bride – Sherry Thomas
Huge Sherry Thomas fan so naturally I’m awaiting this one with baited breath. And I love stories where the hero is already hooked and has to convince the heroine.
I am thinking about Stormdancer – everyone is reading it and LOVING it but I’m just not sure if it’s my thing. I’ll probably end up giving it a go though!
Looks like a lot of people are looking forward to Crewel!! I know I am 🙂
I’m really intrigued by Shadow Society as well.
Great list!
Thanks for putting The Shadow Society and Falling to Ash on my radar!
You’re welcome Melody
Crewel is one I’m eager to read too! I also really like the look of Stormdancer. Great list 🙂
Yep, I am pretty much on board with that description of Stormdancer. And I have GOT to read “Daughter of Smoke and Bone!” Ack!
Crewel! I love Time Travel! Excited to see this one!
Crewel is quite popular today! Stormdancer sounds the most enticing though.
I just love the author’s description 🙂
I keep hearing great things about Stormdancer. Can’t wait to get my hands on that one. Falling to Ash does have a lovely cover! And the story is intriguing. I’ll have to add that one to my list as well.
After compiling my Top Ten Tuesday list, I was inspired to head to my local bookshop in the hope of an early copy of Stromdancer. No such luck 😦
The Shadow Society does look pretty cool. Also can’t wait to read Stormdancer and Crewel. Hope all your fall books are winners!
Ahhh Days of Blood and Starlight! I love Daughter of Smoke and Bone so much. I can’t wait to read the sequel! 😀

Some great picks here! I also really want to read Crewel and Stormdancer! And Days of Blood and Starlight! Can’t wait!
Ahh, Stormdancer and Crewel ❤ Definitely excited for both of these! They just sound soo incredibly unique and I absolutely adore their covers x) Awesome list!
Days of Blood and Starlight – I CAN’T FRICKIN WAAAAAAIT! Also quite interested in Stormdancer.
So many great picks! I am nearly done with Daughter of Smoke and Bone and so excited I won’t have to wait long for the sequel! I am also excited for Stormdancer and Crewel. And I need to look more into The Shadow Society, it sounds fascinating.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I haven’t read Daughter of Smoke and Bone – I didn’t even know the sequel was coming in November. Some of your other books look really great too.
Hey thanks for stopping by my blog :). That’s such a great list ! I can’t wait to read Stormdancer and Crewel too 😀 !
I’m not generally into vampire stories, but the cover of Falling to Ash is beautiful.
